Regency Break Arch - Bell Strike

1,120.00

The Regency Break Arch is a regency style mantle clock with an 8 day bell strike movement with a balance wheel.  The case design goes back to 1820.  The case is made of hand polished mahogany case with curl veneers and corner fan marquetry. The dial has an enamel finish and is printed with the logo of Comitti. The hands are period correct and made of a thick steel with black coating.  The bezel, housing a convex glass, is lacquered brass, as are the handle and feet of the clock.

A gentle bell chimes the hour count (9 bells at 9:00) on each hour and once on the half past.  The two keyholes are wound once a week and work together to operate the clock (one keyhole is to turn the hands and the other powers the striking of the bell).

Made in England.

10 inches (H) x 7.1 inches (W) x 3.7 inches (D)
